A Backpacker’s guide to Caye Caulker, Belize

The island of Caye Caulker is a backpacker hotspot in Belize, and i have no doubt you will be heading there on your visit to Belize. Located one hour from Belize City by taxi boat, and a population of 2,000, Caye Caulker is a true paradise. Whilst you could easily stay here for a month, i suggest staying at least 3 nights if you are on a schedule. 3 nights will allow you to enjoy the top things the island has to offer. Belize is the only country in central and south America that is english speaking due to it’s history of being colonised by Britain. They gained independence in 1981.
